Night Life In The Bay Islands

Roatan

Although The Bay Islands are remote destination there is still plenty of nightlife and evening activies to keep the action going!  After a day of diving or trekking through the Island there are several spots to go for evening fun.  Mostly it's low key hanging around with new friends having a few drinks.

If you come to have fun, Roatan has all that and more in the night as well as the day.  In many of the towns and villages you can find restaurants and bars offering local fare.  In West End village a number of restaurants offer international cuisine, these establishments are usually run by ex-patriots and have some of the best dinning on the island.  The island has two disco / nightclubs for the hardy party goers and many resorts run special nights with Garifuna dancing or Mexican fiesta themes.

Check out Bolongos in French Harbour for the latest in Salsa, Reggae, and island style music.

Thursday nights belong to Foster's in West End as everyone is invited to dance the night away in an all night party over the water.

Learn how to 'wine' at the Harbour View in Coxen Hole, Roatan's oldest night spots, in Coxen Hole to the rhythm of Soca originals as well as a myriad of local favorites until the sun comes up!

Also, The Salt & Pepper, located above the Coconut Tree Hotel office in West End, offers a resturant and bar with several satelite TV's showing most of the ball games.  For an interesting evening hang out with Paul, the owner, and have a few drinks...Paul is always entertaining when telling his stories!  The Salt & Pepper is usually a good place to meet new friends and enjoy the evening.

Utila

Utila is a quiet island but Friday and Saturday nights can be enjoyed with local residents at the Casino (it's really not a casino) and Bucket of Blood. This is as close to 'nightlife' as you will get.
